This educational programme aims to bring young pupils into contact with aspects of the history of Asia Minor Hellenism and facets of the intangible heritage of Asia Minor.
The programme explores concepts such as social life, food culture, and the settlement and identity of the refugee, using the Museum’s objects as well as additional educational material, with the aim of a holistic approach to Asia Minor culture through multiple stimuli and hands-on activities.
Although food culture is only one part of the educational program, it permeates the other modules as well and can serve as a starting point for future activities at the Museum focusing on the cuisine of Asia Minor, the symbolism of food, and human relationships.
