Library

A well-organized library that supports research and provides specialized knowledge on the Greek communities of Asia Minor and the Greek diaspora.

According to prevailing international views, a well-organized museum must necessarily have a library in addition to its collection. The library’s resources support the research and work of the museum’s specialists, but it can also provide information and knowledge to anyone interested in a specialized topic related to the mission of the Foundation and the museum: Asia Minor, the Greek diaspora, the refugee issue, etc.

At its meeting on September 12, 2017, the Board of Directors of P.P.I.E.D. decided to establish a library.

The library has

  • Information Department
  • A collection of books on Asia Minor, the Pontic Greek community, and the Greek diaspora (covering history, literature, folklore, etc.)
  • Minutes of the City Council Meetings
  • Publications of the Parliamentary Cultural Foundation
  • Bibliography on Oral History
  • Publications on our local history and general-interest books

The library is located on the second floor of the building . Admission is free.
Hours of operation: 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
